Etna in Sicily, the crater of Voragine continues to operate with intensity in decline and less frequent emissions ... the strombolian activity is down, and the lowering level of magma in the eruptive conduit leads to collapses and emissions of ash mixed with gases.
On the evening of January 9, ash emissions were accompanied by expulsion of incandescent pyroclastic materials falling sometimes on the outer flanks of the central summit cone. Ash emissions continued on 10 in the morning; after a break, they resumed later in the afternoon, accompanied by Strombolian explosions, and without significant changes in the amplitude of tremor (INGV Catania - iEtna)
In Cape Verde, the activity of Fogo is described as calm, despite a small increase on January 9, according to Sonia Silva, a volcanologist at the University of Cape Verde. Friday, gases and ash formed a dark brown plume top of 1200-1300 meters. On 10.01, the gas column is of low density and high of 200-300 meters and the lava fronts stagnants. The quantities of gases do not consider the eruption as completed. (Fogo news)

In the Kamchatka, the Klyuchevskoy presents a strombolian activity at the summit crater, a lava flow on its southern flank and phreatic activity on its slopes. The aviation code is orange (Olga Girina / kscnet)
After the large plume of 7 January, the Shiveluch's cone remains covered with ashes. Small pyroclastic flows are reported to the southeast and Békés river. A strong smell of sulfur is perceived by hunters in northern Shiveluch. The alert level remains at orange (Yuri Demyanchuk / Volkstat)
