Kilauea : situation of Pu'u O'o and Kahauale'a 2 flow.

In the absence of significant changes in the ongoing eruptions , some news from Kilauea.

The eruption continues at Pu'u O'o without major changes: the spatter cones on the crater floor display persistent glow and a small possible lava pound, now under a crust, inside the spatter cone northeast collapsed.  The spatter cone south emits lava on the crater floor from 6am on 22.02 , consistent with a small deflation marked by tilmeter .

The Kahauale'a 2 lava flow is always fed by the north spatter cones complex . Many outbreaks and forest fires are seen.

This flow has reached 7,800 meters northeast of Pu'u O'o since mid -January. The lava flow has fluctuated in recent months, in connection with a deflation, and an abrupt power drop, or an inflation and a recovery of the flow's force. Thus the front of the casting has increased by only about 500 meters since November 2013.
