Tungurahua - the activity continues.

The activity of Tungurahua , after eruptive episode on April 4 , remains moderate to high, according to IGEPN .

On April 7 , the visibility is poor and prevents permanent observations. The seismic network recorded harmonic tremor and 73 explosions, small to moderate.

On April 8 , the seismicity remains high , with 100 earthquakes LP, 12 episodes of harmonic tremor and fifty explosions, accompanied by rising ash columns 200 meters above the crater, before dissipating south -west . Small ash falls were reported in the areas of Bilbao, Manzani , Jewish , Mocha and Em Manzano .

8 and 9.04, rains have caused extensive lahars in the ravines and Achupashal Confesionario , with the destruction of the road Baños - Penipe .
