Strong eruption in Turrialba / Costa Rica

The Turrialba experienced yesterday, 05.04.2015, a strong eruption, starting at 15h24 which generated a rising ash plume 2,500 meters vertically above the crater, according OVSICORI. The episode lasted 23 minutes.

The eruption was accompanied by tremor and expulsion bombs 3 to 4 kg. Up to one kilometer from the crater.

L’Institut météorologique informe du déplacement des cendres vers le sud-ouest  du volcsn, la Valle Central et le Pacifique.
