A seismic swarm began on 30 June at 21h on the Reykjanes Ridge, 30 km southwest of the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland. The most important shocks were M5,0 the 01.07 to 2:25, and at 4:59 the M4,9 01.07.
This activity is centered on the rock of Eldey and pushed the IMO / Icelandic Meteorological Office to increase the aviation alert level to yellow for this volcano. These seismic swarms are customary and do not open more often a rash ... but it remains a possibility of submarine or surteseyan eruption.
The Eldey volcano, a rock 77 meters high, consists of basaltic hyaloclastites, is located on a small shallow ridge. He is known to have an eruptive activity twice in a century.Il home to a large colony of gannets.

In Guatemala, Fuego shows an increase of activity, characterized on 1 July by pyroclastic flows, probably related to the collapse of a growing dome. Plumes product are estimated from a height of 5,000 meters.
