A series of major collapses at the lava dome of Shiveluch produced on 3 December 2013, an ash plume rising to 7 km, indicated by the Aqua MODIS satellite, and two major pyroclastic flows and lahars, caused by the quick melting of the snow . The first pyroclastic flow, at 1:24 p.m. to 1:40 p.m., spread of about 9 km. The second took place afterwards, between . 1:41 p.m. -1:50 p.m. .
